About DD Medical Atlas

DD Medical Atlas is operated by Graeme Syme, a sole trader trading as Dyslexic Dietitian. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Notice. Accounts are intended for healthcare professionals, students and other adults aged 18 or over.

Educational and communication tool

The Atlas provides medical illustrations and annotation tools for education and communication. It is not a diagnostic system, medical device, electronic health record, prescription service or substitute for professional judgement. The separate Medical Disclaimer forms part of these terms.

Your account

• Provide accurate account information and keep login credentials confidential.
• Do not share an account or allow unauthorised access.
• Tell us promptly through the contact form if you suspect misuse.
• You are responsible for activity carried out through your account.

Patient information

You must not upload, annotate, enter or share identifiable patient information through DD Medical Atlas. Remove names, NHS numbers, dates of birth, faces and any other identifiers before using an image. You are responsible for complying with confidentiality, data-protection and professional obligations.

Permitted use

You may use the service and create annotated outputs for lawful personal learning, education and clinical communication. You must not:

• copy, scrape, download in bulk, resell or create a competing illustration library from the service;
• remove branding, watermarks, copyright notices or attribution;
• upload unlawful, infringing, harmful or malicious material;
• attempt unauthorised access, interfere with security or overload the service;
• misrepresent an illustration as patient-specific diagnostic evidence; or
• use the Atlas in a way that breaches law, professional duties or another person's rights.

Intellectual property

Original Atlas software, branding, layout, catalogue structure and illustrations belong to Graeme Syme / Dyslexic Dietitian or are used with permission. Third-party materials remain the property of their owners. These terms grant a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to use the service; they do not transfer ownership. Your original annotations remain yours, but underlying illustrations and branding remain subject to their existing rights.

Availability and accounts

We may update, restrict, suspend or withdraw features to maintain security, comply with law or improve the service. We may suspend or close accounts used in breach of these terms. We do not guarantee continuous, error-free availability. Please keep independent copies of outputs you need.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability where exclusion would be unlawful. Subject to that, DD Medical Atlas is provided without a guarantee that every illustration is complete, current or suitable for a particular patient or purpose. We are not responsible for clinical decisions made without appropriate independent professional assessment, or for loss caused by prohibited use, user-provided information or third-party services outside our reasonable control.

Ending use and governing law

You may stop using the service at any time and may request account deletion through the contact form. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights that apply where you live.
